Pedestrian access has resumed at the Republica metro station after over a year of closure. Metrorex announced the reopening of underground passages connecting the station's entrances. Meanwhile, construction has begun on a new underground pedestrian passage linking the metro station to surrounding areas, with a total project cost exceeding 120 million lei. The project is expected to take 18 months, but the mayor anticipates completion in 5-6 months. Tram services in the area remain disrupted due to ongoing modernization work.
