The Bucharest City Hall announced plans to rehabilitate and modernize the park around the National Arena in collaboration with Sector 2, ahead of the UEFA Europa League final in 2028. The agreement, initiated by Ciprian Ciucu, involves both municipalities sharing responsibilities for the project. The City Hall will provide necessary documents for landscaping, while Sector 2 will handle the actual works, including planting, path repairs, and urban furniture replacement. Additionally, the National Arena will undergo various upgrades, including structural repairs and modernized broadcasting equipment. The event is seen as a significant opportunity for Romanian football's development.
