The former Palace of the Central House of Social Insurance, located on Carol I Boulevard, is an architectural landmark in Bucharest. Inaugurated in 1933 and designed by architect Ion Ionescu, it is classified as a historical monument. The building reflects the evolution of social insurance legislation in interwar Romania, which was unified in 1933 with the Ioanițescu Law. Initially serving as the headquarters for social insurance, it has undergone various transformations, including serving as the House of Youth and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Today, it houses the ASIROM headquarters, maintaining its original interwar architectural style.
