A floating island has been established on the Dâmbovița River in the Regie area, aimed at improving water quality and providing a habitat for wildlife. This initiative is part of the Dâmbovița Zero Plastic 2.0 project and features various plant species that filter water and support biodiversity. The island will evolve into a vibrant urban ecosystem, visible to the public during the 'Dâmbovița Delivery Regie' event on October 3-4. Additionally, volunteers have recently cleaned the riverbanks, collecting 60 bags of waste, while further activities are planned to engage the community with the river.
