The expansion of the Bucharest Ring Road to four lanes between DN2 and A2 is expected to be completed by December 1. The project, which began in 2012, has seen renewed activity this summer under a new contractor. The total length of the expansion is 11.524 km, with various construction activities currently underway, including asphalt laying and drainage system installation. Funding is provided through non-reimbursable European funds. The project has faced delays due to previous contractor issues, but progress is now being made with the new management team.
