Archaeologists in Cernica uncovered thousands of artifacts and well-preserved homes dating back 7,000 years during a month-long excavation. The site revealed significant findings from the Gumelnița culture, including a remarkably preserved dwelling and various tools and pottery. The team, consisting of 35 students and specialists, faced challenging conditions but achieved impressive results. The next phase involves cleaning and analyzing the artifacts to reconstruct the history of the prehistoric communities in the area, with future exhibitions planned to showcase the discoveries.
