The Island of Lake Morii was reopened on September 18 after renovations covering 3.4 hectares, marking the first phase of a larger development project. The park features pathways leading to the Dâmbovița River, pontoons for water sports, floating vegetation islands, playgrounds, and relaxation areas. The project, selected through an international competition, was led by Metapolis Architects and has a total budget of nearly 59 million lei, including European funds. Construction began in February 2025 and will continue with a linear park along the dam.
