The second stage of the 2026 Tour of Romania concluded with Belgian cyclist Rutger Wouters winning the sprint and taking the yellow jersey. The stage, covering 150 km from Iași to Piatra-Neamț, featured challenging climbs and an early breakaway. Wouters, alongside Ronan O’Connor, broke away from the pack and managed to maintain their lead. In the final sprint, Wouters outpaced O’Connor to secure victory. This win marks Wouters' 217th career victory, and he expressed his happiness about the achievement. The next stage promises to be longer and more difficult, with Wouters aiming to defend his lead.
