The National Environmental Guard has fined a construction site in Bucharest 235,000 lei for illegal waste disposal. Approximately 800 cubic meters of construction debris were found on a 2,000 square meter site. Inspections revealed that the waste was not only left on-site but also moved to an adjacent area and buried. The responsible company lacked the necessary environmental authorization for waste collection and storage. After multiple fines and failed compliance, a criminal complaint was filed due to the illegal storage and burial of waste, which could lead to prison sentences of 1 to 5 years.
