The first fully manufactured Cobra II armored vehicles in Romania have been delivered to the Romanian Army, with over 1,000 units ordered. Production is ongoing, with more than 780 vehicles to be built in Mediaș over five years. The Cobra II is a 4x4 tactical armored vehicle, already in service with NATO forces. Otokar, the manufacturer, ensures that production standards match those in Turkey, providing Romania with the capability to produce armored vehicles entirely. This initiative also creates stable jobs in the local community, with recent recruitment boosting the workforce to over 300.
