The mayor of Sector 1, George Cristian Tuță, announced plans to consolidate Casa Petrescu, a historic building in Bucharest, which is currently in a deteriorating state. The local council will vote on the project today, aiming to transform the building into a multifunctional educational and cultural center. The project, which has a budget of nearly 90 million lei, will preserve the architectural character of the building while addressing its structural deficiencies. The renovation is expected to take 24 months and will include spaces for exhibitions, workshops, and community activities.
