Romania has dispatched 40 firefighters to Greece to assist in wildfire suppression until August 16. This is part of a larger effort involving three contingents. The mission aims to enhance Greece's response capabilities against forest fires. The first group began their journey on July 30, equipped with specialized firefighting vehicles. Additional contingents will rotate in on August 16 and 31. This initiative is funded by the EU to support communities affected by past wildfires and improve preparedness among member states.
