The French Football Federation will introduce the new national team coach on July 28, with Zinedine Zidane as the leading candidate. Zidane, a former player and coach, has not managed since leaving Real Madrid in 2021, where he achieved significant success. Didier Deschamps, the current coach, led France to a World Cup victory in 2018 and a runner-up finish in 2022. Under Deschamps, France also finished fourth in the recent North American tournament.
