Fostul șef al serviciul de informații externe al Germaniei, arestat pentru spionaj și trădare, ar fi avut „contacte de lungă durată“ cu China, relatează revista „Spiegel”
August Hanning, former head of Germany's BND, was arrested for espionage and treason, allegedly having long-term contacts with a former Chinese general. Hanning, who led the BND from 1998 to 2005, is accused of receiving classified information from a subordinate, Manfred D., for a foreign intelligence officer. Investigations also suggest links between Hanning and Azerbaijani intelligence services, which Azerbaijan has denied. Hanning's lawyer claims he is being unjustly prosecuted.
