Fostul președinte sirian Bashar al-Assad a fost condamnat la moarte în contumacie

A Syrian court has sentenced ousted President Bashar al-Assad to death in absentia for war crimes and crimes against humanity. This ruling marks the first convictions against members of his former government. Alongside Assad, Atef Najib, former head of political security in Deraa, was also sentenced. The court's decision comes after Assad fled to Moscow following the fall of Damascus in December 2024.
