The Court of Appeal in Moldova reduced the prison sentence of Dmitri Constantinov from 12 to 8 years for abuse of power and embezzlement. He is currently wanted, including through Interpol. The sentence can be appealed to the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, the Gagauzia People's Assembly declared the position of bashkan vacant following the conviction of former bashkan Evghenia Guțul for illegal financing. Elections for the new bashkan are yet to be scheduled, but they may coincide with upcoming parliamentary elections.
