Fostul președinte al Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, condamnat la 25 de ani de închisoare

The International Criminal Tribunal for Kosovo found him guilty of various charges, including arbitrary detention and torture. Thaci, along with three other former commanders, faced accusations related to crimes against humanity during the 1998-1999 conflict. Despite the prosecution seeking a 45-year sentence, Thaci maintained his innocence, claiming he acted in line with democratic ideals. His supporters gathered in Pristina, viewing him as a national hero. The Kosovo Specialist Chambers were established to address alleged war crimes committed during and after the conflict.
