Fostul lider militar al sârbilor bosniaci, Ratko Mladic, a murit în detenţie la Haga
Ratko Mladic, the former Bosnian Serb military leader convicted of genocide, has died in a UN detention unit in The Hague. Serbian Justice Minister Nenad Vujic had recently requested Mladic's release for medical treatment in Serbia, warning that his death was imminent. Mladic, 84, was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2017 for genocide and war crimes during the Bosnian War, including the Srebrenica massacre. His release has been condemned by victims' associations, while some Serbian leaders continue to glorify him.
