Fostul ambasador ucrainean în România, acuzat de corupție. El ar fi deturnat ajutoare externe de peste un milion de dolari
Ukrainian authorities have dismantled a criminal group accused of embezzling foreign aid intended for Ukraine. The group was allegedly led by a former Deputy Foreign Minister, Oleksandr Bankov. Investigators claim that Bankov convinced international donors to redirect funds to a controlled NGO, which were then laundered for personal gain. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stated it maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards illegal activities and has cooperated with investigations.
