Fosta prefectă USR de Timiș, Elena Micicoi, plasată sub control judiciar, după o noapte în arest. Susține că ancheta e orchestrată politic
Cornelia Elena Micicoi, former prefect of Timiș, has been released under judicial control while being investigated by the European Public Prosecutor's Office for alleged fraud involving EU funds. After spending a night in custody, she claims to be a political victim, asserting that the investigation is politically motivated. Alongside her, five collaborators were also placed under judicial control for 60 days. The investigation, which began over six months ago, involves serious allegations including organized crime and illegal acquisition of EU funds, with damages exceeding half a million euros intended for training courses for disadvantaged individuals. Micicoi resigned from her position following pressure from her party, USR.
