The former marble quarry in Moneasa has become a popular tourist destination, prompting local authorities to plan enhancements to attract more visitors. The mayor, Doru Miron, stated that the municipality aims to acquire additional land from the quarry to improve the trail and install amenities like benches and viewing points. There are also plans for a climbing route on the remaining marble blocks and the development of a new speleological site. The area's historical significance and the scenic views have increased interest, with thousands of tourists visiting annually. A tourist train has been introduced to facilitate access to the site, which is noted for its unique geological features and historical marble extraction.
