Fost președinte al Ecuadorului, condamnat la 5 ani de închisoare pentru corupție

Former Ecuadorian President Lenín Moreno has been sentenced to five years in prison for accepting bribes related to a hydroelectric project. He will serve his sentence under house arrest due to a physical disability. The case involves a corruption scheme during his vice presidency, linked to the Coca Codo Sinclair hydroelectric plant, built by the Chinese company Sinohydro. Moreno is the third former Ecuadorian president convicted of corruption, following Rafael Correa and Jamil Mahuad. His family members have also received prison sentences for their involvement in the scheme.
