Fost CIO al Guvernului, investigat pentru posibile infracțiuni fiscale
Marian Murguleț, former CIO of the Romanian Government, is under investigation by the DGAF for potential tax offenses involving millions of lei. Recently, he sold his shares in Trencadis, a company that provided components for the Government's Private Cloud. Murguleț was appointed CIO in July 2019 and faced criticism for his lack of technical qualifications. After a brief stint as Secretary of State in 2021, he returned to the private sector, eventually acquiring full ownership of Trencadis. The company reported significant revenue in 2023 but faced a sharp decline in 2024 before rebounding in 2025. The ongoing investigation is linked to his recent business activities.
