The 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix will take place at the Sepang circuit in Malaysia from October 2-4, following the cancellation of the original event due to security concerns. Formula 1 and FIA made this decision to ensure the safety of all involved. The new race is scheduled between the Azerbaijan and Singapore Grands Prix, pending final approval. F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali emphasized the sport's adaptability, while FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem highlighted safety as the primary concern. Sepang, a historic F1 venue, last hosted a race in 2017, with Max Verstappen as the last winner.
