Ford Otosan investește 36,45 milioane lei într-un parc fotovoltaic

Ford Otosan Romania plans to build a 5.1 MW solar park in Craiova, with an investment of 36.45 million lei. The energy produced will be used entirely for the factory's own consumption, potentially reducing CO₂ emissions by 3,385 tons annually. The project includes 8.63 million lei in non-repayable funding from the Modernization Fund, with the rest covered by the company's own funds. This initiative is part of a broader investment program aimed at increasing renewable energy capacity for self-consumption, as the factory aims to meet about 5% of its annual electricity needs. The investment aligns with the expansion of electric vehicle production at the site, which has seen a total investment of around 500 million euros since 2022.
