Ford Otosan România plans to invest 36.45 million lei in a photovoltaic park at its Craiova plant, generating 5.10 MW for self-consumption. The project includes 8.63 million lei in non-repayable funding from the Modernization Fund. The park is expected to produce around 5,531 MWh of renewable energy annually, reducing CO2 emissions by approximately 3,385 tons per year. This initiative aligns with Ford Otosan's sustainability strategy, which includes electrification and reducing environmental impact. The Craiova plant also assembles electric vehicles and has launched an intermodal transport route to decrease logistics emissions.
