Chinese group Zhejiang Geely Holding has reached an agreement with Ford to partially acquire the Valencia plant, marking a significant shift in the European automotive landscape. Ford will retain 66% ownership while Geely will hold 34%. This partnership aims to optimize production and costs, allowing Geely to assemble vehicles like the Geely EX2 and the European Ford Bronco. The joint venture is set to begin operations in 2027, with new vehicles expected by 2028.
