Romanian companies can access funding of up to 15 million euros for energy storage investments through a state aid scheme financed by the Modernization Fund. The scheme, approved by the Ministry of Energy, has a total budget of 150 million euros and offers non-repayable financial aid. Eligible projects must be completed within 48 months, and applicants must meet specific criteria, including financial stability and compliance with legal obligations. The scheme is open until December 31, 2030, and aims to support around 10 beneficiaries.
