The Romanian Ministry of Economy has extended the deadline for companies to apply for the SME Eco-Tech program until December 30, 2026. Applications are submitted online on a first-come, first-served basis. Currently, 408 firms have registered, with a goal of at least 800 beneficiaries. The program aims to support various business sectors, including services and trade, and has removed the previous revenue cap for eligibility. Financial support includes a non-repayable grant of up to 40% of the investment and a bank loan covering at least 60%. The total budget for the program is 288 million lei, with expectations to create at least 800 new jobs by 2029.
