Fondatorii unui „unicorn” spațial, printre care se numără și un inginer român, au lansat un non-profit pentru a trimite prima navă spațială către o stea - StartupCafe

Starcloud, co-founded by Romanian engineer Adi Oltean, aims to launch a spacecraft to Alpha Centauri by 2029. The non-profit initiative, Fermi Explorer, seeks to send a probe with a payload of at least 1 kg, costing under $15 million. The mission will be managed by Garrett Jameson, with production partners to be selected soon. Donations for the project can be made on their official site. Starcloud, established two years ago, focuses on developing space data centers to address energy limitations for AI, competing with SpaceX and Blue Origin. The startup has secured $450 million in funding, valuing it at $2.3 billion.
