Focar de pestă porcină africană la Vurpăr: restricții și măsuri speciale în mai multe localități din județul Sibiu

An outbreak of African swine fever has been confirmed in Vurpar, leading authorities to establish restricted zones in nine localities in Sibiu County. The Local Center for Disease Control approved measures to prevent and control the disease after a positive test result from a deceased pig. All pigs in the affected farm were culled and buried under veterinary supervision, with repeated disinfection measures implemented. Strict biosecurity measures are now in place, including prohibitions on animal movement and the sale of pork products in the restricted areas. The public is advised to comply with veterinary regulations and report any unusual animal health issues.
