The state-guaranteed loans provided by FNGCIMM through the IMM Invest program show a default rate of 3.73% numerically and 2.32% in value, two and a half years post-program closure. The gradual increase in default rates reflects the economic challenges faced, including rising financing costs and inflation. Despite these pressures, the majority of beneficiaries demonstrate resilience, confirming the program's relevance for maintaining access to financing and development. By the end of 2023, 70,616 guarantees were issued, with 530 payment requests, while by mid-2026, the total requests reached 3,023. The program has facilitated significant financing for SMEs, with over 81,033 guarantees amounting to 58.22 billion lei, supporting loans exceeding 67.85 billion lei. FNGCIMM remains committed to supporting access to financing for Romanian companies.
