FMI a înrăutățit prognoza pentru România. Economia se contractă până la finalul anului. Dar există speranțe pentru 2027
The IMF has downgraded Romania's economic growth forecast for this year to a contraction of 0.5%, down from a previous estimate of 0.7%. The organization also slightly reduced its GDP growth forecast for 2027 to 2.2%. Romania and Ireland are the only European countries expected to experience a GDP contraction this year. The IMF is also less optimistic about Romania's current account deficit, projecting it to decrease to 7% of GDP this year. Additionally, inflation forecasts have been revised upwards, with an expected average of 8.2% in 2026. Unemployment is projected to rise to 6.5% in 2026 before slightly decreasing in 2027. These updates were released during the IMF and World Bank's autumn meetings in Bangkok.
