Despite achieving early success in film, she dedicated her career to the Teatrul „Ion Creangă”, where she performed for decades. Born in 1946, she became a beloved figure for her roles in children's productions. Luican was married to poet Ion Crânguleanu but chose to prioritize caring for her parents over her marriage. She passed away on March 8, 2019, shortly before her 73rd birthday, living a quiet life with her rescued cats.
