Florin Manole, the proposed Minister of Labor, stated that pension indexing will be determined through discussions with the Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance, based on official inflation data. He emphasized the need for a fair approach to pensioners, who have borne the fiscal burden in recent years. Regarding the minimum wage, he confirmed that increases will follow legal procedures and involve consultations with unions and employers, acknowledging the impact of inflation on purchasing power. Manole also indicated that he does not support extending the CASS payment for pensions over 3,000 lei, stressing shared responsibility for fiscal decisions with the Finance Minister.
