Florentina Mosora, a Romanian actress from the 1960s, transitioned from film to a successful scientific career. Born in Cluj in 1940, she starred in four films before leaving acting at 24 to pursue degrees in chemistry and nuclear physics. Despite her early fame, she was more passionate about science, earning her doctorate and specializing in medical biophysics and neurophysiology. Mosora worked as a researcher and lecturer in Romania before moving to Belgium, where she became a professor and contributed to significant scientific seminars. She passed away at 56 in 1996, but her legacy in both cinema and science endures.
