FJORD, directed by Cristian Mungiu, will premiere in Romania on January 15, 2027, at a gala in Sala Palatului. The film, which won Mungiu his second Palme d'Or, will have a special screening on October 24, 2026, during the 'Les Films de Cannes à Bucarest' festival. Attendees will include Mungiu and actors like Sebastian Stan. Following the screening, Mungiu will engage in a discussion with the audience, which will be broadcasted in participating cinemas. FJORD is nominated for 12 Academy Awards, including Best Film and Best Director, and has been featured in over 50 international festivals. The film has already seen success in France and Norway, with significant audience turnout.
