Fitch ridică perspectiva Bulgariei la „pozitivă”. Economia avansează cu 3%, de trei ori peste ritmul zonei euro

Fitch Ratings has confirmed Bulgaria's credit rating at 'BBB+' and upgraded its outlook to 'positive', citing reduced political uncertainty after a single-party government was formed. A more stable political environment may enhance conditions for structural reforms aimed at economic growth and public governance, especially as Bulgaria progresses towards eurozone membership. The rating is supported by EU membership and solid public finance indicators, though risks of economic overheating persist. Bulgaria's economy is projected to grow at about 3% in 2024, but will slow to 2.4% by 2028 due to weaker domestic demand. Macro imbalances, driven by rising nominal wages, could lead to a current account deficit of 7.4% of GDP by 2026, which is high for its rating category. Inflation is expected to average 4.9% this year, remaining above the average for 'BBB+' rated countries. Successful reforms could improve the rating, while further economic imbalances could lead to a downgrade.
