Fisura din blocul cu bulină evacuat „există de 9 ani”, spune Primăria Capitalei. „Locatarii au refuzat o soluție de consolidare”

The Bucharest City Hall reported that a crack in a building in Drumul Taberei has existed for at least nine years and is not due to poor construction quality. The municipality proposed consolidation in 2021, but residents declined the offer, preferring a less invasive solution. After an evacuation due to safety concerns, residents were allowed back in when experts confirmed the building's structural integrity. The building, constructed in 1963, is classified as high-risk for earthquakes. Currently, 185 buildings in Bucharest are undergoing consolidation, with many others assessed for seismic risk.
