Companies and professionals have an additional six months to update their CAEN activity codes, now due by March 25, 2027. This extension follows a low compliance rate of under 40%. The interim Minister of Economy, Irineu Darău, announced the change to the government decision, emphasizing the need for accurate economic data collection. The transition period aims to prevent administrative issues that could disrupt business operations. Both CAEN Rev. 2 and Rev. 3 codes can be used simultaneously until the new deadline, allowing for a smoother transition.
