Firmele de contabilitate din România, asaltate de hackeri (Raport DNSC) - StartupCafe

In 2025, cyberattacks in Romania surged, with a significant increase in account takeovers and phishing incidents. The National Cyber Security Directorate reported a fourfold rise in such attacks compared to the previous year. Notably, ransomware incidents grew by over 150%, affecting numerous companies, including Tohan SA, which lost over €20,000 due to email hijacking. The report highlights the vulnerability of accounting firms, with nearly 1,800 receiving alerts about potential threats. Many organizations mistakenly believe they are secure, despite a general perception of average sector protection. The importance of regular software updates and data backups is emphasized, as many attacks exploit known vulnerabilities.
