Digiwave Consulting SRL has sued the Party of Young People (POT) for a debt of 163,000 lei, linked to services provided during the electoral campaign. The company is owned by the brother of a POT deputy, raising potential conflict of interest concerns. The lawsuit was filed in June, but no court date has been set yet. The deputy claims he is unaware of the contract details, while the POT president declined to comment. Experts suggest that there are no legal restrictions on such contracts, unlike public procurement. The deputy is also facing legal issues in a separate case related to pandemic procurement.
