A Romanian company was fined for failing to protect employee personal data after a cyber attack led to unauthorized access to sensitive information. The National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP) imposed a €5,000 fine on Global Customer Care Services SRL following a significant data breach affecting numerous individuals. The investigation concluded in August 2026, revealing that the company did not have adequate technical and organizational measures in place to secure personal data.
