Finanțarea cinematografiei revine în forță: buget-record pentru filme de ficțiune, documentare și animații
Film financing in Romania resumes after nearly two years, with a record budget of 61.26 million lei allocated for film development, production, and distribution. The National Cinema Center (CNC) announced that the resumption of competitions follows legislative changes and the approval of a new regulation. The budget includes 60 million lei for production and distribution, while 1.26 million lei is earmarked for project development. Specific allocations include 33 million lei for feature films, 9 million for debut features, and 6 million for documentaries. Applications for the first session of 2026 will be accepted online from October 26 to November 26, requiring a valid electronic signature and proof of minimum capital. The CNC also seeks nominations for selection committees from industry associations.
