Filmul „Fjord” va fi nominalizarea României la Premiile Oscar

The film "Fjord," directed by Cristian Mungiu, has been selected as Romania's entry for the 2027 Oscars in the Best International Feature category. The decision was made unanimously by the National Cinema Center (CNC). "Fjord" premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, winning several prestigious awards, including the Palme d'Or. The film stars Romanian actor Sebastian Stan and Norwegian actress Renate Reinsve, and it explores the conflict between family values and societal rules. It was released in France on August 19, 2026, and will premiere in Romania this winter. The Oscar race will begin at the end of this year, with preliminary voting scheduled for December 2026, and the awards ceremony set for March 14, 2027.
