The film "Fjord" by Cristian Mungiu will be showcased at the Les Films de Cannes à Bucarest festival from October 23 to November 1, 2026. The gala screening will take place at the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest, alongside other significant contemporary European films. This festival, founded in 2010 by Mungiu, aims to present Cannes films to Romanian audiences and promote European cinema. The 2026 edition will feature works like "Minotaur" by Andrey Zvyagintsev and "The Dreamed Adventure" by Valeska Grisebach, emphasizing auteur cinema and contemporary themes. Screenings will also occur in other Romanian cities, with tickets available since October 1.
