Over the past five years, the branch has received nearly 4 million euros, with significant transfers occurring even after Moldova aligned with U.S. sanctions in 2024. The funds are used for operational costs, including salaries, raising questions about the enforcement of sanctions in Moldova. The branch promotes pro-Russian narratives and has been linked to propaganda efforts against Ukraine and the Moldovan government.
