Fermierii cer suplimentarea bugetului pentru îngrășăminte
Farmers' organizations in Romania are urging the Ministry of Finance to increase the budget for fertilizer support due to rising costs. The European Commission allocated nearly 30 million euros to assist farmers affected by fertilizer price hikes. However, the proposed national contribution is deemed insufficient by the Alliance for Agriculture and Cooperation, which calls for an increase to nearly 90 million euros. They argue that current support levels do not meet the actual costs faced by farmers. The organization also highlights the impact of the carbon emissions adjustment mechanism on fertilizer prices and requests the suspension of this mechanism at the European level to alleviate financial pressure on the national budget.
