Farmers affected by rising fertilizer prices may receive doubled financial support in 2026, as proposed by the Ministry of Agriculture. The initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden on agricultural producers due to increased production costs. Romania is set to allocate nearly 30 million euros from EU funds, with an additional contribution from the state budget, totaling approximately 60 million euros. Eligible farmers must provide proof of fertilizer purchases to receive assistance, with applications accepted through APIA centers. Payments will be made after eligibility checks, no later than February 2027.
