Fenomen neașteptat la vârsta a doua: De ce beau mai mult persoanele peste 50 de ani

A recent study reveals that while younger adults are drinking less alcohol, those aged 50 to 64 are increasing their consumption. The research, published in Annals of Internal Medicine, analyzed data from over 114,000 adults between 2018 and 2024. Overall, alcohol consumption has decreased since the pandemic, particularly among Generation Z and millennials. However, the trend is reversed for Generation X, who are drinking more, possibly due to lifestyle changes post-pandemic. Increased alcohol intake poses greater health risks for older adults, including liver damage and heart disease. Experts recommend discussing drinking habits with healthcare providers.
